Most services are offered in your own home for your convenience and because I feel that approach lends itself to better personal attention and faster achievement of your goals.

In-Home Manners Training
Would you like your dog to have better manners? In-home manners training focuses on teaching basic skills such as sit, down, stay, come when called, watch me, leave it, walk nicely on leash and not jumping up among other skills. The emphasis in manners training is on teaching good self-control skills to the dog, helping you, the owner, better understand the dog and putting good management and exercise routines into place for improved behavior and easier living. Dogs at all levels of their training are appropriate for this service. A clicker-training option is available.

In-Home Behavior Consultations
Does your dog have a specific, problem behavior that you wish to resolve? In-home behavior consultations focus on more significant behaviors that are causing everyday living with the dog to be difficult. Examples of such behaviors are dog-to-dog aggression, lunging and barking while on leash, fearful or anxious behavior, destructive behavior, resource guarding and separation disorders.

Early Puppy Socialization and Training
Puppies are a lot of work and require intense socialization at an early age to help prevent future behavior problems. They need to have good experiences in the world as much as possible before they reach 4 months of age; these experiences have a powerful influence on what the puppy will be like as an adult. Unfortunately, most of us don't have the time to do this. If you recently acquired a new puppy or are thinking about getting a new puppy, I will conduct socialization field trips with your puppy when you can't and will teach you how to do the same on your own time. I will also help you puppy-proof your home, select good foods and toys and begin basic training, house training and crate training.
Behavior Evaluations for Dog Day Care, Dog Park and Boarding Facilities, Shelters and by Personal Request
Whether you need to assess the appropriateness of a dog for your home or are trying to assess temperaments in a day care, boarding or shelter situation, behavior evaluations are critical for minimizing potential problems. A behavior evaluation can show you how a dog will respond to every day life experiences, if they have aggression issues and how they get along with other animals.
